Matt and Cat are always grateful for your suggestions for places to try next. If there’s a food venue you want them to visit, just leave a comment here with your suggestion. They check this post regularly and every suggestion is taken on board… although with so many great places to eat on the Island they might take a while to get round to visit each one.

If you’ve got a comment about a particular restaurant they’ve already visited then please comment on the review page, not here.

Please check they haven’t already been to your suggested venue by using the search feature, as otherwise your wisdom might get deleted unread!

They won’t normally respond directly here in this page, but watch out to see whether your suggestion is taken up. To keep the page to a manageable size comments here are deleted once they get old and/or when the review suggested is written.

Hi, there is a new place open in Newport on Whitepit Lane called Misiu – it does takeaway German and Polish foods, a first for the Island! It would be great to read your thoughts on the new flavours introduced to the Island.

Went to Yarmouth for the first time in YEARS…what a place! Salty’s was by far the best food in the West Wight, and such great atmosphere. I’m taking my family there next month when we’re back down again from London). You should review them!

We had the most amazing food at Salty’s in Yarmouth for our 5 year anniversary, such a lovely team of people, great drinks mixed by the very friendly bartender & the food was outstanding! A really lovely special evening out

Betty’s Door in Clarence Road seems to be the “place of the moment” in East Cowes. It would be good to read your assessment at some point…

Salty’s in Yarmouth are making huge strides with their fine food! The chef is just exquisite and they have an atmosphere to match. They’ve just launched a new menu which changes seasonally it looks just divine!

The Birdham , Bembridge – back to the name it always used to be, and always should have been! A memorable visit today, for all the right reasons! Excellent service and distinctive, mouthwatering food. Crisp, bright decor totally in keeping,. A very far cry from what you experienced in 2012 under a different name. I don’t think this venue’s new-found quality is well-known; not many diners there, sadly…

I suggest an early visit to the Garden Café at Island Sheds – just past the Blacksmiths Arms. Specialising in cream teas, they also do magnificent breakfasts and lunches, soon to include homecooked curries! Thoroughly recommended, with great views towards Newtown and the New Forest…

Got it! Tried navigating via the map, and selecting Bembridge and St Helens, and found a 2016 review. All sorted…
