Our friends at Wootton’s Briddlesford Farm kindly invited us to the launch of their new dairy brand. You have probably tried the creamy milk products produced by the farm using milk from its award-winning Guernsey herd. Milk was sold under the Buttercup name, now it’s all available under the new Briddlesford Farm Dairy brand.
New to the dairy is halloumi-style cheese, which is hand-made on the farm. The halloumi-style cheese is best served grilled or pan-fried. We tried a nibble of it in the canapes; it has a firmish texture and a subtle taste. The farm’s full range of milk products includes clotted cream – perfect for a cream tea! Alongside the milk, creams and new cheese, you can also buy unpasteurised milk direct from the farm shop.
As well as dairy products, Briddlesford Farm Dairy also produces veal. The dainty veal burger canapes we had at the event were delicious.
The Griffins have been farming at Briddlesford since 1923. The family is continuing to invest in the farm; the new milk-processing facility will be complete soon.
Can I buy four halloumi in Buckinghamshire? If not, can I buy it online?
Hi Olivia, you’ll need to contact the farm shop to find out if they will send you some cheese. All the best, M&C
Hi there, I am interested in buying some of your Haloumi style cheese. I live in Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire and wondered where I can purchase it from. Hope you are all well.
Kind regards,
Joy Fuller
Where can I buy this? I can’t seem to find any link and cannot source any stockist. THANK YOU
