Having asked Matt and Cat for some help in entertaining a group blokes, that would have been sailing all day and planning to drink all evening, I decided upon booking us in at China China. We decided to take advantage of £9.80 all you can eat buffet which I thought would consist of the usual badly cooked fayre that would keep the inner man quiet before we started the serious business of drinking. We were all amazingly surprised with what we found. The waitress, despite her initial forthcomings that we'd do a runner, was very pleasant with a good sense of humour. The Tsingtao beer was nice to find, the sesame prawn toast was perfectly cooked and the small spare ribs were incredibly tender and sweet. Once we'd devoured this the main course was just as good, particularly the stir fried Char Sui Pork where the spring onions were still bright green and the flavours defined. As someone that works in the food business I must commend them for their high quality offer at such a low price. Many groups of 19 would have been treated very poorly but not so here. I would highly reccommend this for any group party that wants good food served in a fast, friendly and efficient manner for an amazing price. Next time I'm over I shall take my wife and sample the other menu.

Having lived in an area in London, where Chinese restaurants had to compete with each other for custom, China China stands out even by my London standards, and exceeds most Chinese restaurants in the smoke.

The food is excellent, it's air-conditioned, and the staff polite and attentive. Haven eaten in China Town in London, I can tell you the staff are rude, but the food is good. China China scores highly in all categories.

While we haven't dined here, we would like to say that the "sparkly clean loos" from the last reviewer are not shared by the health board. They gave this restaurant 1 star out of five for hygiene. But perhaps they didn't mean the loos. Maybe it was just the kitchens.
After reading M&C's review, we decided to try China China while in Cowes yesterday evening, and were very impressed - by everything: welcome, service, food, decor, views from our table by the upstairs window, and even the loos (sparkly-clean marble, gorgeous glass basins).
We ordered a range of dishes, meat, fish and veggie, all superb. There was none of that "everything tastes the same" sensation that you get in your average Chinese restaurant, or any fishing around to find the substance in what you've ordered: every dish was delicious in a different way. My particular faves were monks-fish in satay sauce, the mushroom crispy noodles and the pak choi, My 5-year old was, predictably, lured by the prawn crackers, but also tried all our main veggie and fish options and proclaimed it fantastic. He was made very welcome by the staff, too.
Result! Will definitely return. Oh, and no "bill-lag" whatsoever. (I think the restaurant must have read your review, Matt & Cat!)
